DescriptionAccountemps has a top-notch opportunity for a short-term temporary-to-full-time Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at a successful company in the Financial Services industry. A successful Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. This position requires people who have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of accounting and its principles, hands on, and the ability to think on your feet. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Moline, Illinois area and will be a short-term temporary-to-full-time position.What you get to do every day

• Carry out additional projects as required
• Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
• Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
• Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
• Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
• Conduct full-cycle A/P
• Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
• Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
• Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followedRequirements
  • Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
  • 2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
