Job Summary:The Automation Engineer performs work aimed at implementing Martin Engineerings automation platform. The role uses various computer and electronic tools, interfaces and processes to administer, install, maintain and expand the product line. The role also interfaces with clients at a technical level and assists all Martin employees in trouble shooting and support of all Automation Products. This position requires good to excellent English language skills (IELTS 7). Responsibilities will include:

  • Administers the various platforms necessary to keep Automation Devices operating.
  • Analyses product failures in order to suggest product improvements or developments.
  • Apply methods for testing, design and manufacturing of new products or improvement of existing products. Perform prototype testing, field studies and analysis for new and existing products.
  • Collaborate and work as a team with Product Development Engineers, CFI Staff, and Business Unit Personnel as needed to develop new products and improve existing products. Documents interactions in a timely fashion and communicates these to the team.
  • Collaborate and work as a team with Customers Technical Departments as needed to develop new products and improve existing products. Documents interactions in a timely fashion and communicates these to the team.
  • Collaborate and work as a team with outside contractors and suppliers as needed to develop new products and improve existing products. Documents interactions in a timely fashion and communicates these to the team.
  • Evaluate competitor products for performance comparison with Martin Products. Documents interactions in a timely fashion and communicates these to the team.
  • Documents all test data recorded through appropriate testing procedures and reports; documents or revises ISO 9001 procedures to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Uses and maintains global cooperation platforms and tools. Required Qualifications:
    • Four-year degree in an Engineering discipline or related field required.
    • Three years-prior work experience preferred.
    • Two years experience/training in data acquisition equipment/software preferred.
    • Four years experience in numeric modeling techniques such as FEA, DEM,CFD or other numeric modeling packages preferred.
    • Three years software programming (C, C++, C#, Java or Python) preferred. Benefits and Perks - just to name a few..............
