Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a
passion for engineering and the desire to be part of a team of
engineers responsible for designing, developing and testing
industry-leading avionics products. Our team develops the Onboard
Maintenance System (OMS) which is an aircraft diagnostic system and
is a part of the Collins Aerospace state-of-the-art flight deck
solution. As a key member of the OMS team, you will be developing
and integrating software for the Onboard Maintenance System. The
Onboard Maintenance System is a continuous evolving product which
consists of different technologies. This position offers various

onsite position located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. What you will do:
Responsible for providing high quality solutions to internal and
external customers. The Software Engineer will typically be
involved in the following development categories: Scope Planning,
Architecture and Design, System and Software Requirements,
Implementation and Unit Testing, Integration and
Testing/Verification and Certification Will master the technical
aspects of the Onboard Maintenance System and is actively involved
in the development aspects. This includes the OMS system software
and configuration as well as the development of tools and
processes. Builds, delivers and integrates the OMS software and
configuration on test fixtures and rigs for various aircraft types
and performs various analyses such as footprint testing. Supports
the successful execution of projects throughout the development
life cycle (planning, development and certification). Coordinates
and communicates with direct team members, technical project
managers, systems engineers and product managers. Understands the
certification aspects of the Onboard Maintenance System in order to
successfully certify the product. Understands and follows
processes, is always learning and continuously looks for
improvements. Qualifications you must have: Typically requires a
degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree
in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience Experience in
software development with C and SQL programming language is
required. Experience with networking technologies (i.e., Ethernet,
TCP/IP, Wireshark) is required. Qualifications we desire: Other
programming or scripting languages (i.e., Python, LUA, HTML5,
JavaScript) are desired. Able to learn new programming languages
and technologies quickly. Enjoys working with people and is a great
communicator. Be motivated and a self-starter. Quick learner and
able to work with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and

86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith
estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers
