Job Description:

The Maintenance Manager assumes a pivotal role in overseeing maintenance operations across the entire plant within a heavy manufacturing, unionized setting.*Primary Responsibilities:** Provide effective leadership in managing maintenance activities.* Lead initiatives for process improvement.* Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.* Manage maintenance operations and associated reporting.* Uphold quality standards within the organization.* Control costs effectively.* Ensure timely service delivery in alignment with business plans.* Oversee training and development of personnel within the department.* Manage multiple business units under supervision.* Foster and uphold a safe and positive work environment.* Coordinate with other departments to foster a collaborative team environment.* Ensure timely completion of daily, monthly, and annual reports and forecasts.* Direct the development of departmental business plans.* Optimize maintenance programs through the utilization of current technologies and equipment upgrades.* Analyze equipment failure records to minimize future downtime.*Requirements:** Associate's degree or 10 years of experience in heavy manufacturing or related field.* Experience in metal fabrication industry and/or management.* Strongly preferred: experience in union supervision.* Knowledge of production methods, industrial processes, and equipment.* Effective leadership and communication skills.* Additional preferred experience with PLCs, drives, gauges, rolling mill controls, data acquisition HMI's, annealing line controls, and instrumentation.* Strong organizational and analytical abilities with strategic business orientation.* Proficiency in PC and related software applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).*Work Environment:** Frequent presence in a production manufacturing environment with potential exposure to weather extremes, varying temperatures, and high noise levels.*Schedule:** Day shift position with occasional evenings and weekends required.*Salary Range:** $80,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience.*Benefits:** 401(k) plan* Retirement plan* Vacation* Paid holidays*Insurance:** Health* Vision* Dental* Disability (Short Term, Long Term)* Life insurance (Employee, Dependent)*Candidates must successfully pass pre-employment drug and background screenings.*Job Type: Full-timePay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceExperience level:* 10 yearsSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Monday to FridayWork setting:* In-personExperience:* heavy manufacturing: 5 years (Required)* Metal fabrication industry and/or management: 3 years (Required)* Union Supervisory: 3 years (Preferred)License/Certification:* Driver's License (Preferred)Ability to Commute:* Cedar Rapids, IA (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Cedar Rapids, IA: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In personby Jobble
