• Greeting and escorting patients to exam rooms, preparing for physicians visits by obtaining initial information and vital signs
• Checking patients medical records for pertinent data; reviewing and maintaining current patient information/demographic data
• Inputting new data into patients medical records, ensuring accuracy
• Responsible for drawing up injections and assisting with injections
• Responsible for removing staples, sutures and performing dressing changes
• Assisting Physicians in minor medical procedures and anticipating their needs for instruments and supplies
• Responsible for ordering x-rays, along with splint and cast removals
• Scheduling patients for testing, medical procedures and surgeries
• Inspecting exam rooms for cleanliness and equipment condition; stocking and maintaining rooms and nurses stations with adequate supplies
• Educating patients and their caregivers regarding specific care as instructed by the physician
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulationsRequirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • LPN License is required
