Job Description:
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med-Surg
Acute Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift:
12 hours Experience: 1 year of hospital experience preferred
License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS certification
Must-Have: - Experience in a healthcare environment - Proficiency
in electronic medical record systems Description: Protects,
promotes, and restores health and wellness by practicing at the
highest level of Registered Nurse licensure. Collaborates with
providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care
coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical
symptoms and provides psychological support to patients, friends,
and families. Mentors assigned team members and promotes best
practices. Maintains professional disposition at all times. Assumes
responsibility for providing direct patient care and documentation
in the electronic medical record. Utilizes EPIC (Electronic Medical
Record) and basic Microsoft applications. Follows a
nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-5:1 during day shifts and 5-6:1 during
night shifts. Works 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
on a rotation basis. Travels to float to other departments as
needed. Participates in unit-specific training and onboarding with
a preceptor. Maintains compliance with drug-free policies and
produces a negative drug screen prior to employment.
