Key Responsibilities of the Travel Pediatric Registered Nurse:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to infants, children, and
adolescents with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions
Administer medications and treatments while ensuring patient safety
and comfort Monitor vital signs, assess patient status, and respond
promptly to changes in condition Collaborate with physicians,
respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams Educate
patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge
instructions Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the
EMR system Promote a positive and supportive environment for
children and families Requirements of the Travel Pediatric
Registered Nurse: Active RN license (Illinois or compact state) BLS
and PALS certifications required Minimum of 2 years of recent
Pediatric experience in an acute care hospital Strong pediatric
assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
