Job Description Job Description Salary: Dependent On Experience Dental Assistant - Oral Surgery Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa Schedule: Full-Time (3238 hours/week), MondayFriday We are partnering with a specialty oral surgery practice to hire a motivatedDental Assistant / Surgical Assistant. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow or transition into a specialized clinical role in healthcare especially individuals with experience in medical assisting, patient care, or surgical technology who are ready for a change. Youll receive hands-on training, work closely with skilled surgeons, and develop specialized skills you can use throughout your career. Prior oral surgery experience is helpful but not required. What Youll Do Assist the oral surgeon during procedures including extractions, implants, bone grafting, and IV sedation Prepare and maintain sterile surgical setups and instruments Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures (including vital signs) Take and process dental X-rays and CBCT scans (training provided if needed) Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care instructions Maintain accurate charts and surgical documentation Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control protocols Qualifications Dental Assistant certification or surgical technologist/medical clinical background Willingness to learn oral surgery procedures and dental workflows X-ray certification (or willingness to obtain) CPR/BLS required; ACLS required (in-house training and support provided) Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced surgical environment Professional, calm, and compassionate chairside manner Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience and training level Full benefits package, including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Short-term and long-term disability Employer-paid life insurance PTO and paid holidays Continuing education and license renewal reimbursement Uniform/clothing stipend $100/year Supportive training environment with opportunities to grow Schedule MondayFriday no evenings or weekends Typical hours fall between 3238 hours/week Everyone receives a scheduled -day off during the week Fridays are straight through: 7:30 AM 2:00 PM KSIs Talent Acquisition Team partners with companies to assist with their hiring needs.
