Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Ortho RN in Peoria,

Postoperative surgical care experience General medical-surgical
care experience Description: The unit consists of 43 private rooms.
Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4-5 on 12-hour days and 1:5-6 on
12-hour nights. Common diagnoses include a wide variety of
medical-surgical conditions, postoperative orthopedic cases, and
trauma cases with fractures. A Charge Nurse and House Supervisor
are available on each shift, with the primary Charge RN taking
patient assignments. Patient Care Technicians are present with a
ratio of 1:7-8 and assist with various duties. The unit is equipped
with CPAP and heated high-flow devices as needed. Telemetry pack
monitors are used throughout the facility, and RNs are expected to
read their own strips. Shifts for travel staff are 12-hour shifts.
There is a weekend requirement of every other weekend. Floating to
other like medical-surgical floors may occur occasionally, with
travel RNs being the first to float. Scrubs of any color are
permitted, and a professional appearance is expected, with tattoos
and piercings covered. The orientation includes training specific
to the unit/department. Charting is done using the EPIC system.
