Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active Illinois license
required or confirmation that application process has been
initiated Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have:
Experience with PEG tube care/feedings, CVC/PICC/Midline usage and
care, and tracheostomy patients. Description: This position is for
a Registered Nurse in a Long Term Acute Care setting. Nurse to
patient ratio is 1:5. Common diagnoses include respiratory failure,
post-surgical care, wound care, IV antibiotic therapy, post-CVA,
post-trauma, and cardiac patients. RNs are required to titrate
drips, including Heparin. Charge Nurse is available on each shift
and does not take an assignment. House Supervisor is available
24/7. There are nurse aides and patient care techs on this unit
with a ratio of 1:10. Registered Nurses will be required to
troubleshoot respiratory equipment such as vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and
high flow systems. Monitoring technology is available, and
telemetrics are managed by dedicated monitor techs. The position
requires weekend rotation every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Qualified nurses may float to different units as needed. Scrubs are
provided, and only approved t-shirts are acceptable. Shifts are 12
hours, scheduled from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Requirements Required for
