We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor of Adjudication to lead customer-focused operations for a fast growing, multi-shift, national retail pharmacy committed to improving customer medication outcomes through the utilization of adherence packaging and world-class data management. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, customer data management, and continuous improvement operations. Will provide ongoing coaching and development of team members in regard to metrics.

Our Adjudication Team runs medical claims in order to uncover the customers financial responsibility, including copays. An insurance company can decide to pay the claim in full, deny the claim, or reduce the amount paid to the provider. After a medical claim is submitted, the insurance company determines their financial responsibility for the payment to the provider. This process is referred to as claims adjudication.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify operational challenges and/or opportunities by analyzing the available data, develop and execute plans to fix problems and take advantage of new business opportunities
  • Coaching, supervising and scheduling a growing team (with 6+ team members) to provide efficient, consistent, and exceptional customer service
  • Workwith a high level of confidentiality
  • Strategic vision and then execute on a team/departmental level
  • Change management strategies with a focus on solution-based problem solving
  • Work within tight deadlines
  • Quality observation while providing coaching and feedback
  • Assign daily tasks for team members; follows up on productivity

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years managing 6+ individuals
  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare Experience
  • Experience in insurance industry, claims, and/or accounting
