Job Description Job Title: : Spanish Speaking Neuropsychology Services Based at : Jessup, MD, USA Overview: Our Company requires a Spanish Speaking Neuropsychologist shall provide in- service education to psychology staff regarding neuropsychological issues on an as needed basis. Spanish Speaking Neuropsychology Services are required in the visiting and conference center in the Silver Wing, within eyesight of security staff between the hours of 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Qualifications: The personnel will ensure the following: The candidate is to provide competencies, documentation of credentials and credentialing forms to the hospital for the purpose of privileging. The candidate shall provide with documentation of continuing education and license renewal. The candidate must be a certified member of the Hispanic Neuropsychological Society and able to fluently speak Spanish to administer and interpret psychology testing. PERFORMANCE REQUIRED: The candidate shall provide the following goods or services: It is the intent of Sanford Federal to secure a contract for the provision of one neuropsychologists who are fluent in Spanish language. For the purpose of testing patients for both emotional and cognitive functions in the Spanish language and as detailed below: The estimated number of evaluations should average up to four per month. However, that shall not be construed to limit the quantities which may be ordered from the candidate, or to relieve the candidate of any obligation to fill all such orders. Additionally, since Sanford Federal may have already performed tests that are a part of most neuro and psychological evaluations, it is suggested that bids be entered on an hourly basis. Forensic testimony is a part of this contract, therefore, if rates for professional and testimonial services differ, lists them separately. Sanford Federal does not guarantee to order any specific quantity of tests. Scheduling: All scheduling of services shall be performed by the Secretary of the Director of Psychology. Evaluations will be referred to candidates on a rotating basis. Director of Psychology office will call the candidate and either speak to the candidate (or his or her designee) or leave a message. However, if a candidate is not able to complete an evaluation within 8 weeks or a response to a message has not been received by the end of the next working day the next contractor on the list will be called. Location and Hours: All patient contact for the purpose of these evaluations will be completed at Sanford Federal, in the visiting and conference center in the Silver Wing, within eyesight of security staff between the hours of 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Evaluations outside of those hours (i.e.; evenings and weekends) may be possible at the discretion and approval of the Director of Psychology. Constituent Elements: Neuropsychological and psychological Services will include: Review of Patients medical record, including referral question and communication with staff, if needed. Interview of Patient. Administration of neuropsychological and other relevant psychological tests. Scoring and interpretation of the administered tests. Generation of written report of findings. Forensic Testimony (if needed): The candidate must be prepared and willing to provide forensic testimony regarding the test results achieved on any patient at the request of either the hospital or judicial system. It should also be noted that due to the nature of the judicial system, it may also be necessary for the candidate to provide testimony after the end of this contract. Testimony for cases completed for CTPHC will be paid on an hourly basis even after termination of the contract. However, testimony related to court cases for which the candidate was not involved at the request of CTPHC, even if they involve the same patient, will not be paid by the hospital. REQUIREMENTS: Orientation: The candidate will be required to attend a three (3) day hospital orientation prior to beginning work at the hospital. Credentials: The candidate is to provide competencies, documentation of credentials and credentialing forms to the hospital for the purpose of privileging. Continuing Education: The candidate shall provide CTPHC with documentation of continuing education and license renewal. The candidate must be a certified member of the Hispanic Neuropsychological Society and able to fluently speak Spanish to administer and interpret psychology testing.
