qualified applicants for a full-time casework position facilitating
group programming for Afghan clients that have recently arrived
through the Afghan Placement and Assistance program. The primary
function of these groups will be to provide extended cultural
orientation and support overall education and community
integration. The Group Services caseworker will facilitate an
Extended Cultural Orientation Group and New Mothers Education group
for Afghan women. The Group caseworker will assist with individual
casework services as needed for group participants, including but
not limited to transportation, appointment scheduling, and
arranging interpretation.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Plan & Facilitate
group sessionsConduct individual needs assessments with group
participantsCreate individual self-sufficiency plans with group
participants Monitor client progress towards goals through each
group sessionMeet 1:1 with group participants weekly Arrange
interpretation for group sessions Arrange community partner
presentations to support group learning objectivesIdentify and
enroll candidates for group programming Document through case notes
group participation and attendanceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &
ABILITIES:Bilingual ability desired
(Dari/Pashto)Detail-orientedPrevious work with immigrants and
refugees Strong communication skillsAbility to prioritize work in a
fast-paced environment Ability to follow COVID-19 guidelines and
proceduresStrong written and verbal communication skills, to
include active listening, developing rapport and resolving
conflict.Ability to case note in a timely manner. Previous
experience facilitating group programming desiredREQUIREMENTS:Valid
Driver's LicenseCommitted to the Mission, Vision, and Values of
World ReliefAbility to all background checksCross-cultural
experience (required)Trauma Informed Certification or course work
(required) Master's degree and/or full professional licensure
(preferred). Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or
related discipline is required, or an equivalent combination of
