Job descriptionThe George Evans Corporation is hiring General Welders with Mig and Stick experience for our fast-paced steel fabrication shop. 108 Years in the same location owned by the same family, not a whole lot of other companies can compare to our rock-solid well-established career-based company.We are looking for a handful of career-minded hard-working welders with good attitudes and track record of great attendance looking to get started immediately with our company.General Welder/laborerRESPONSIBILITIES: Skilled in mig and stick Conventional and precision measuring instruments. Process inspection, certification, and documentation. Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools. Ability to use and have knowledge of a forklift. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures. Other duties as assigned by the department supervisor.REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduation or certification from a certified technical school. Minimum of 2-3 years' experience. Successful completion of an internal welding test. Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math to perform basic calculations, and use basic handheld measuring tools. Must be able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds. Good attendance and punctuality is a must. Must be able to work 1st as needed.Must be able to work overtime as needed.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $16.00 per hour
