Welfare Specialist Job Description:Bethany for Children & Families
has an immediate, full-time opening for a Child Welfare Specialist
in our Intact Family Services program. The Intact Program serves
families involved with the Illinois Department of Children &
Families due to reports of abuse or neglect. The goal is to
positively intervene to keep children safe so they may remain in

Position Benefits:Ten (10) days of vacation earned during the first
year of employment and twenty (20) days of vacation earned during

program.Child Welfare Specialist Qualifications:A Bachelor's Degree
in social work or related field, Relevant child welfare experience

to provide own transportation and hold a valid drivers' license and
vehicle insurance, andApplicants must demonstrate computer
proficiency, strong organizational skills, and possess strong
written and verbal communication skills.Child Welfare Specialist
Performance Objectives:Job responsibilities include providing
in-home case management, crisis intervention, support, education,
monitoring of child safety and service linkages for families
involved with the Department of Children & Families due to reports
of abuse or neglect. The position is based in Moline, but will
serve Rock Island, Henry, and Mercer counties in Illinois.
Applicants must be willing to work flexible hours and conduct home
visits at times conducive to client schedules, including some
evenings and weekends. Applicants must be able to respond
effectively to crisis, work collaboratively with other service
providers, build rapport with clients, and provide strength-based
services to a diverse population.Applicants must be able to work
independently as well as in a team context, and adhere to agency
and DCFS policies. Applicants must be willing to travel and provide
