We are looking to hire a CT Tech.As a CT Tech at MercyOne, you will be Under general supervision, performs radiologic procedures in the CT area. - The age of the patients served range from infants to geriatrics. Customers include: patient, family/visitors, co-workers/volunteers, nurses, physicians, and vendors, as well as, regulatory commissioning agents.Schedule:

• 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM - 3 12-hour shifts a week.
• every third weekend and HolidayGeneral Requirements:
  • Produces quality CT images by utilizing adequate positioning skills and technical factors, as well as, is knowledgeable of anatomical structures pertinent to the patient population of infants to geriatrics. - Sends images to PACS for interpretation.
  • Informs patients of examinations being performed and obtains consent to perform procedure.
  • Transports patients to and from Radiology as needed.
  • Assists the Radiologist in the administration of contrast material.
  • Practices proper radiation protection techniques in accordance with prescribed safety standards in regard to self, patients, when ionizing radiation is present.Education:
    • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
    • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
    • Possess a current permit to practice diagnostic radiography for the Iowa Department of Public Health.
