Job Description:

Supervising wage employees 30-40 employees in a union environment, ability to work over time and weekends. 1st shift 6am start time. Metatarsals Safety boots required. Good computer and communication skills. No driving required. Description: Supervises unskilled production, maintenance or warehouse employees. Less specialized knowledge, small in scope, more routine. Supervises simple, standardized, single function. Very small number of direct reports. (Example is very small warehouse operation). Duties: Supervises the execution of departmental plans to achieve objectives in safety, quality, schedule, efficiency and continuous improvement. Administers employee policies, practices, procedures and work rules appropriate for the unit. Monitors individual performance and takes corrective action including discipline, as needed, and responds to complaints to insure the Company and employees adheres to policies, practices, procedures and work rules. Establishes employee environment regarding communications, feedback and overall guidance. Ensures that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to successfully do their job. Works with Safety Team in meeting company standards and enforces safety regulations to prevent and eliminate injuries. Resolves various systems, parts, people or process issues to correct deficiencies, reduce costs, improve processes/performance. Manages and controls costs to stay within the department operating budget targets. Coordinates departmental continuous improvement plans and activities.Job Requirements:

• Completing daily shift production reports
• Maintain shift production staffing levels
• Maintain quality and production for shift
• Obtain production parameters for upcoming production
• Fulfilling the customer demands of areas of operation while making ongoing improvements to processes to advance food safety
• Supervising the plant production and maintenance on a production shift
• Ensure safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping in assigned areas
• Supervising all areas and facets of plant production during shift operations
• Ensuring the production floor meets production targets
• Monitoring the production work flow and adjusting production to meet production schedule targets
• Supervise daily activities of production employees
• Supervise all plant production duties to relieve other production supervisor during vacation
• Direct second shift manufacturing operations to meet daily production goals
• Oversee the daily production operation and ensure production goals are met
• Maintain production and quality standards
• Meet production control schedules and maintains continuous flow of production
• Improve production quality of products
• Achieve minimum production standards in each production unit
• Assign daily tasks/assignments to production operators to meet production schedule
